Glamtush reports that popular Tanzanian Bongo Flava singer Mandojo is dead.
Mandojo was beaten to death on Sunday, August 11, after he was mistakenly identified as a thief.
Confirming his demise, musician Soggy Doggy on his social media page wrote; “My heart is in great pain, I will miss you very much my brother and friend.
“Rest in peace. Mandojo, surely human life is very short on this earth. Sorry brothers, relatives and friends and I’m very sorry my brother @domokayatz God’s work has no mistakes.”
Also paying tributes, his colleague Domo Kaya in a post said: “Daaaah MY SON I don’t believe the 22nd of this month is supposed to be your birthday Aisee why! This is so sad. Rest in peace. may God give you eternal light, friend, brother.”
He was killed a few days to his birthday.
He is known for hit songs like Nikupe and Dingi.
