Gov Buni while commiserating with the Nigeria Police Force and family of the deceased police, described the death of Corporal Maina Mohammed attached to the ‘Operation Haba Maza’, security outfit as tragic, sad and unfortunate.

The governor prayed for the repose of the soul of the gallant policeman in Aljannatur Firdaus and also prayed for the quick recovery of those who sustained injuries
The late policeman was on the security escort of the governor to Maiduguri yesterday to attend the Convocation ceremony of the University of Maiduguri

The convoy, while on its way back to Damaturu, ran into an ambush mounted by the suspected terrorists near Benishiek in Borno State.

Governor Buni directed the management of the Specialist Hospital Damaturu to provide full medical services to the injured security personnel.
