Students of University of Port Harcourt students have stopped academic activities in the institution over a new school fees policy introduced by the management.
The protesting students said they would not accept the school’s new policy of no fee no examination, adding that it was a means of mistreating the students.
As a result, they started protesting around 4:30am today and blocked the East-West Road, hence, causing vehicular and human traffic. Motorists passing via that route had to look for alternative routes.
According to reports, the students disclosed they would continue protesting until they are addressed by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Sunday Lale.
