StarLife New Series Mismatched Premieres

The third new series Mismatched (Shaurya Aur Anokhi Ki Kahaani) premieres on StarLife on Thursday, October 28 at 20h00.

Mismatched replaces Mariam Khan – Reporting Live, which ends the day before, October 27.

Recall that the Wedding Planners and Broken Hearts premiered on October 19 and 20 respectively.

The series is about two people who are at odds with each other in Mismatched: Shaurya and Anokhi.

While Shaurya is a low-life misogynist from a royal family who believes women shouldn’t work or study, Anokhi is a woman who wants to do just that.

Shaurya’s bigoted beliefs have arisen because he feels he was deserted by his mother Aastha, who left him to pursue a career and take care of her elderly parents.

She left him unwillingly and he was raised by his aunt and uncle who informed his oppressive belief system and values.

In contrast to Shaurya, Anokhi fights the patriarchy by insisting on education and actively pursuing it.

She goes to college where she meets Shaurya’s mother Aastha who’s become a professor. Aastha teaches Anokhi and they form a bond, which is how Anokhi and Shaurya meet.

Shaurya and Anokhi get close after Aastha suffers a life-threatening injury and Shaurya reveals that he cares about his mother.

With this new awareness, he falls in love with Anokhi.

In between it all, both Shaurya and Anokhi almost marry and actually marry other people, with disastrous consequences.
