The actress shared the photo and narrates:
“I had been invited & had committed to make an appearance & speak at a Youth Empowerment Program at University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
Monday, 18th April… Woke up bright, early, hopeful. Made my way to the airport in good time, checked in, chilled… Even played catch up with my colleague Seun Akindele.
Time for security checks & I was turned back by some male personnel because he insisted that I must check in my carry on! I did.. And missed my flight to Enugu.
Livid & with hot tears looming.. I detoured to go through Port Harcourt, arrived & hired an airport cab to make my way to Nsukka.
You see, it had been a long last week, with very little sleep, long days-nights-sleep-wake-up-repeat-business,up until Sunday night! So my body wasn’t at it’s best alert mode & everything that could go wrong that day… DID! Before 9am!
Barely midway, I was already car sick, I laid down in the back seat to catch my breathe… I snoozed off!! ..Next thing, I woke up in shock, mouthing the blood of Jesus straight out of sleep… The driver had lost control, the car had skidded off the highway, we were headed for 2 pillars! There was dust everywhere outside the windows, I couldn’t sit upright, Or hold on to anything! I could have very easily broken any body part… But God had other plans…
According to the driver.. He tapped the brakes once, took his foot off & was struggling to get the car away from the pillars… in seconds, we had been rammed into a bush, nose first!
Took a while to get me out, and get my literally vibrating body under control! But I was carried out of that car without a scratch! The Driver was ok! The car was ok,save for 1 tyre!
There’s more… But… I live!!!
God spared my imperfect life! He said NOT TODAY! I’m grateful to God beyond words!
I can’t tell you all that I saw in those few fast paced seconds of a near death experience, but I’m grateful for a praying mother on whose list I will always be a plus one!
I still get flashes! I’m still in awe! But I’m being a big girl about it!
A hearty THANK YOU to my family & friend for the show of love over the last few days! I want to feel & touch this love while I’m alive! Thank you!!!”
We thank God for sparring her life!!!
