South Korean Comedian Found Dead At Home With Mother
Prominent South Korean comedian, Park Ji-sun, and her mother were found dead in their home in the Mapo District in Seoul on Monday, November 2, according to Yonhap News Agency citing the police.
According to the police, Park’s father had called the authorities after he couldn’t get in touch with his wife and daughter. The two were discovered dead when the police arrived.
Seoul Mapo Police Station said, “No foul play is suspected, as there was no sign of a break-in and what was presumed to be a suicide note was found.”
The police said they will continue to investigate the exact cause of death.
She was reportedly under treatment for skin disease and had been living with her mother.
The note, which appeared to be written by her mother, indicated Park had been suffering from the disease and that she could not let her suffer alone.
A memorial altar has been set up for the two at Ewha Womans University Mokdong Hospital in Seoul.
Park debuted in 2007 with Korean public broadcaster KBS.
