Soludo has offered N10m reward for information on killers of Anambra lawmaker.
Glamtush reports that Governor Soludo has offered N10m reward to anyone with useful information on killers of Hon. Okechukwu Okoye.
This online newspaper recalls that the Anambra State House of Assembly member was beheaded by unknown gunmen on Saturday evening. He was representing Aguata North at the Anambra State House of Assembly .
Last week, he was kidnapped in his Toyota Sienna vehicle alongside his aide and taken to an unknown location.
According to information the police later found the vehicle and dispatched operatives to save the legislator.
Hon. Okechukwu Okoye’s head, on the other hand, was discovered hanging in Nnobi, Idemili South local government area on Saturday.
His body was missing, indicating that his assailants had made off with it.
The police then retrieved the automobile and dispatched operations to rescue the legislator, according to reports.
While presenting Anambra’s amended budget to lawmakers on Friday, Soludo expressed hope for the lawmaker’s rescue.
The lawmaker’s death was confirmed by Anambra Police spokesman Ikenga Tochukwu.
“His head was discovered today along Nnobi road,” he said (Saturday). There is currently no suspect in custody.”
Meanwhile, Glamtush reports that Governor Soludo has announced a N10 million reward for information that will lead to the capture of the killers of Anambra lawmaker who beheaded Okoye.
He added that the money will be provided to anyone or any group who can provide vital information that will lead to the swift arrest of the criminals.
Gov. Soludo stated that Anambra will soon be a nightmare for these crooks.
Okoye who was representing Aguata II Constituency at the State House of Assembly was kidnapped alongside his aide, Cyril Chiegboka on May 15.
