Security agents including soldiers, officers of the Department of State Services stormed the University of Ibadan due to the selection of the new Vice-Chancellor of the University.

They stormed the University Wednesday afternoon, Daily Post report.

The tenure of the incumbent Vice-Chancellor, Professor Idowu Olayinka expires on November 30th.

The new Vice-Chancellor is expected to assume duty on December 1.

The appointment of the new Vice-Chancellor has generated a lot of controversy in the last couple of weeks.
