Signs Your Boyfriend Is Not Over His Ex

Most times it is painful to know that your boyfriend is still not over his ex. How will you know? It is from his actions or words.  If your new boyfriend is constantly talking about his ex, spending time on the phone with her, mistakenly calls you by her name or you even catch him always admiring the lingerie or mementos she left behind at his place, how will you feel?

These are subtle but important indications that he’s not quite emotionally ready to date at the moment as he is not over his ex yet.

Here are some signs to alert you that your boyfriend is yet to get over his ex.

They talk or chat regularly

It will not be fair to expect your boyfriend to completely forget about his ex immediately after their breakup. But if you notice that they talk or chat regularly, then, it’s very possible that he still has feelings for her. Three things may be involved; it may be that he feels guilty that he left her, he isn’t over her yet or maybe he’s keeping in touch with her in case things don’t work out with you.

If you feel really disturbed, you can ask him if he’s really ready to be in a new relationship with you or not.

He Visits Her Social Media Handles Regularly

A guy who is not over his ex will visit her social media handles regularly just to know what she’s up to. He might even like her post, photos or videos on her pages. That is the reason some ladies either block or stop to follow their exes on Facebook, Instagram, snapchat and Twitter especially when they post hot selfies or videos that you will still drool over.

You Know More About His Ex Than You Should

You should run away if your ex constantly says things like, “My ex does not complain about anything I do” “My ex is a good cook” Or “She loves wearing figure-hugging dresses.” He is indirectly comparing you to her. So, you should be conscious of comments like this.

He Still Keeps & Cherishes That special gift She Gave Him

If your man still safely keeps and cherishes that custom made t-shirt, wristwatch or special gift his ex made for him, he is far from getting over her. If he is really ready for a new relationship, he should have gotten rid of it somehow.

However, sometimes people often keep mementos from past relationships for the memories, so it’s not always a sign he’s not over his ex, but it could be.

If it bothers you, you should have a talk with him about the reason he feels the need to hold onto these memories.

He Constantly Hates On Her

It’s completely understandable if he’s a little bitter, and if he goes out of his way to talk about how much she sucked, then he might be trying to remind himself why he’s not with her in an attempt to convince himself he’s better off.
