SIFAX Haulage and Logistics Limited, a subsidiary of SIFAX Group, has boosted her fleets, by acquisition of 20 additional brand new trucks.
This is part of its effort to offer adequate delivery of service, for development and growth of the Nigerian Economy, for operational productivity with a view to consolidate its position as a leading factor in the logistics industry.
According to the General Manager, SIFAX Haulage and Logistics Limited, Mr. Adewale Adetayo, who was speaking at the formal Commissioning ceremony, said the trucks were imported from Europe of 420 horse power rating, adding that 10 of the trucks were specifically rated as 6 by 4 double axles, while the other 10 are triaxle flatbeds with 48 tonnage capacity. It was revealed that the trucks will complement the 55 existing; which has increased the fleets to 75 trucks.
Adetayo said that the company’s expansion of its operational fleet is sequel to SIFAX Group decision which planned to offer good services to its clients and become the undisputed indigenous company in the Maritime Sector.
He added that, with the trucks acquisition, there is an evidence of clear demonstration of the Management commitment for the aim of rebranding SIFAX Haulage & Logistics Limited and enhance higher productivity at all levels.
It is therefore to strengthen all the subsidiaries with the requisite capacity and capabilities to deliver on the corporate mandate by offering the best value in all sectors they operates.
“With the 20 new haulage trucks already acquired, the company transfer and delivery processes will be repositioned, which will enable it compete favourably through the movement of deadweights.
He stressed that the company is determined to reshape the haulage and logistics landscape in the country with the expansion of the fleet. His words, “Our haulage team has been well prepared and equipped with various technical trainings to usher in the operations of these new trucks in addition to the ones we have at the moment.”
Speaking earlier, the Group Managing Director, SIFAX Group , Mr. John Jenkins, explained that with the the new trucks, the company will live up to the standard it is best known for Internationally, maintaining that the company’s business acumen is aimed at meeting customers demand by creating more value to her business transactions.
He pointed out that the additional fleet commissioning is adequately in tandem with the organization’s vision of making all its brands and businesses the frontliners in their respective sectors.
Saying that, the company is totally committed by strengthening the logistics value chain of the Maritime Industry of which haulage by valuation is very important, he said.
Jenkins therefore gave an assurance to clients of the benefits and the quality of service to be offered, the new trucks purchase, as well as relevant capacity development programmes, the company staffs have undergone for additional knowledge acquisition.
