Yesterday, it seemed like a rumour that one of the celebrities who attended the African Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards (AMVCA) which held at the weekend returned from the UK to attend to event and developed symptoms after the programme.
Well, it turned out to be true as a Celebrity photographer has now opened up after many threatened to reveal his identity if he doesn’t report himself for testing and stop endangering other people’s lives.
Even a documentary producer earlier warned of a suspected case of coronavirus who might have attended the AMVCA and interacted with a number of Nigerian celebrities. According to Ifeoma Chukwuogo, the man flew in from the UK and is down with coronavirus symptoms, but has refused to report himself to the NCDC to get tested.
Celebrity photographer, Seun O has confirmed that he is the one that is rumoured about and has been feeling unwell since Sunday, March 15, barely a day after self-isolating.
Seun who disclosed that he was referred to the Lagos State Government after he went to Lagoon hospital in Victoria Island to get tested, also confirmed that screenshots of a Whatsapp chat which went viral online was a conversation he had with a friend.
Serving an update, the documentary photographer said a medical team was sent over by the NCDC to get him tested after he spoke to Lagos State Commissioner for health.
Read the Whatsapp conversation he had with a friend which shows that he was dodging from getting tested because he was afraid of being quarantined at the facility in Lagos.
Below are photos of him finally getting tested.
A search on his Instagram page also confirmed that he attended the 2020 AMVCA. Here is a photo of him and commediene Wofai Fada at the awards below.
Now all the Nigerian celebrities who attended the event, especially those that came in direct contact with him, have been told to self-isolate to avoid the possible explosion of the virus.
