According to him, the campaign is geared towards the fulfillment of his mandate to “vaccinate 30% of Lagos population within the next one year.”
The Governor said, “I am therefore delighted to flag-off the state-wide mass campaign against the COVID-19 virus infection in Lagos state, today Wednesday, 27th October 2021.
“The accelerated campaign will commence today and end on Saturday, December 25th, 2021.

“Following this event, the state has recorded 77,695 cases which is 40% of the cases seen in the country.
“I salute the health workers that have been diligently and steadfastly administering the COVID-19 vaccines, and I assure them that their hard work is recognized and appreciated. ”
Sanwo-Olu reassured that the vaccines were the best options to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, urging all individuals to visit vaccination centres to get their jabs.
