Sanwo-Olu, Abiodun, AbdulRazaq Donate N75m To victims Of Owo Church Attack

Sanwo-Olu, Abiodun and AbdulRazaq have donated N75m to victims of the Owo church attack.

Glamtush reports that Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, and the Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, on Tuesday, donated N75 million to victims of the terrorist attack on St Francis Catholic Church in Owo, Ondo State.

Sanwo-Olu made this known in a post on his verified Instagram page, @jidesanwoolu.

This online platform recalls that gunmen had, on June 5, invaded the church, leading to the death of no fewer than 40 persons with many of the worshippers injured

Sanwo-Olu said they decided to support the people who were affected by the attack with a sum of N25 million each, totalling N75 million.

He said “I, alongside Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun Stare, Governor Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State, and other APC leaders, paid a condolence visit to Governor Rotimi Akeredolu in Akure today over the unfortunate attack on worshippers at St. Francis Catholic Church, Owo.

“This was not just an attack on the good people of Owo and Ondo State, but the entire people of the South-West. It is a completely dehumanising incident that should not have happened, and we condemn it in the strongest terms.

“My brother Governors and I decided to support the people who were affected by the attack with a sum of N25 million each, totalling N75 million.

“We had a South-West Governors meeting last week and few steps have been taken towards forestalling such assault going forward. We will not allow these criminals to infiltrate our states and region. Therefore, we are strengthening and further reinforcing the security architecture in the South-West.

“May the good Lord continue to comfort the loved ones of everyone who lost their lives, and also the good people of Owo, and the entire Ondo State. Amen,” he wrote.
