Robbers Invade Three Communities In Ibadan

Robbers have invaded three communities in Ibadan.

Glamtush reports that armed robbers on Tuesday morning invaded three communities in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

The robbers were said to have carted away money, phones, pieces of jewellery, and other items.

The affected communities include Alaja, Seriki, and Ogogo on the new Ibadan/Oyo Expressway in the Akinyele Local Government Area of the state.

According to the Punch correspondent who visited the communities gathered that the incident happened around 3 a.m.

One of the community leaders, Raji Kazeem, who confirmed the incident to our correspondent said, “Yes, it was true. The armed robbers came in the mid the night and robbed some houses. That’s why you saw landlords and landladies discussing in different groups.”

As of press time, all efforts to reach the state Police Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso, were not successful as he did not pick up his calls nor respond to the messages sent to his mobile number.
