Resident Doctors Suspend Nationwide Strike
The National Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) has suspended its 10 days old nationwide strike.
President of the NARD, Dr Uyilawa Okhuaihesuyi, confirmed this on Saturday.
He said, “We suspended the strike about one hour ago. We are responsible to Nigerians, the government has acceded to some demands.”
According to him, the strike was suspended after meetings with various stakeholders in the health sector.
They however gave the government four weeks ultimatum to meet their sundry demands.
