Newly unveiled Real Madrid defender, David Alaba, has tested positive for COVID-19.
The club made the announcement in a statement via its website on Wednesday.
The statement read, “Real Madrid C. F. would like to notify that our player, David Alaba, has tested positive for COVID-19.”
This is coming less than a week after Real Madrid officially unveiled Alaba as their player.
Alaba, a former Bayern Munich star, is now the second Real Madrid squad member to have tested positive for COVID-19 this summer.
Alaba will now be in isolation for the next couple of days.
