RCCG Set To Hold 76 Hours Nonstop Praise

The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has announced that all is set for this year annual 76 hours Marathon Messiah’s Praise tagged, ” The Great Redeemer” which is dedicated to mark the 76th years of the General Overseer, RCCG Worldwide, Pastor Enoch Adeboye.

Speaking with newsmen at a press conference which held at Youth Center, Redemption Camp, Ogun state, recently, the National Coordinator of Music, RCCG, Kunle Ajayi, said, “We are dedicating 76 hours out of the 8760 hours of the year to praise our God and to express our gratitude to God for His mercies over the life of our GO, Pastor E.A. Adeboye and to usher in a new pattern of worship that will redefine the perspective of men to worship and praise in this dispensation.

“The theme of this year edition is titled “THE GREAT  REDEEMER” and the praise event will be holding in 16 countries across the world with the exception of South America. The countries participating include; Nigeria, USA, Canada, England, Australia, Spain, Scotland, UAE and Cameroon. Others are Kenya, Netherlands, Sweden, Malaysia, South Africa and Ireland. Adding that it is a giant step to bring Marathon Messiah’s Praise to the doorstep of every living being on the planet.

This year edition which will be commencing at 11:00 am on Monday, February 26 and will be terminated by 3:00 pm on Thursday, March 1. It is gathered that as they are adding more countries this year, there is a new touch accompanying the mode of operation. “We will be having two separate stages this year, Nigeria and Diaspora. The Nigeria stage will hold at the Youth Centre, Redemption Camp, while the Diasporas will be having 15 stages spread across the 15 participating countries outside Nigeria. Viewers can also log into the website www.mmpraise.org to view the schedule of ministration for the Diaspora,” he said.

Kunle added that there will be two streams of broadcast for this year edition. One stream will fully cover Nigeria while the other stream will be mix of Nigeria and Diaspora. “we have secured a dedicated channel on Kwese TV channel 800 which will be broadcasting the Nigeria stream and DSTV channel 349 (DOVE TV) will be broadcasting the mix Diaspora.

Kunle said, “The stage in Nigeria will host 76 hours of nonstop praise and worship while the stages in the Diaspora nations will share the 76 hours among themselves and it will hold concurrently.

He stressed that over 4000 people have registered to volunteer in various department including music, sanitation, welfare, medical and others, adding that accommodation and welfare have been made available to all the volunteer , likewise security of lives and properties for all the participate are guaranty.

Marathon Messiah’s Praise is an initiative inspired by the Holy Spirit through the National Young Adults and Youth Affairs of RCCG in 2012. It started as 70 hours Marathon Messiah’s Praise to mark Pastor Adeboye’s 70th birthday.
