OG Maco, who was best known for his 2014 hit single “U Guessed It,” has passed away at the age of 32, weeks after sustaining a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The family wrote, “With heavy hearts, we share the heartbreaking news of the passing of our beloved Ben, known to the world as OG Maco.

“His life was a testament to resilience, creativity, and boundless love. Through his music, passion, and unwavering spirit, he touched so many lives and left a lasting impact.

“U Guessed It” earned Maco a Billboard Hot 100 hit with its remix featuring 2 Chainz. Atlanta-based rap label Quality Control signed him later that year, an imprint home to Quavo and Lil Baby, and formerly the City Girls, Offset, and Takeoff.
