Prince William ‘Very Protective Of Kate’ After Harry And Meghan’s Interview

Prince William ‘Very Protective Of Kate’ After Harry And Meghan’s Interview

Prince William is reportedly ‘very protective’ of his wife Kate in the wake of explosive claims made during the Oprah Winfrey interview with his brother and sister-in-law.

ITV aired the bombshell chat earlier this month, which saw the Duke and Duchess of Sussex talk about stepping down from royal duties with their friend Oprah.

Meghan Markle also spoke about her mental health struggles and revealed she had experienced suicidal thoughts.

During the couple’s sit-down, pregnant Meghan addressed reports she made William’s wife Kate cry over a spat about bridesmaid dresses for Meghan and Harry’s Windsor wedding.

The Duchess of Sussex claimed that, contrary to earlier reports, Kate had made her cry rather than the other way around.

Now, People reports that Harry’s brother Prince William is hugely protective of his wife and ‘can get angry.’

Penny Junor, a royal biographer of both Prince William and Prince Harry, reportedly said: “William is very protective of Kate and can get very angry.

“For Meghan to name Kate in a negative light is worse than being attacked himself.”

In response to the allegations in the interview, a statement from Buckingham Palace pointedly noted that ‘recollections may vary’.

It comes amid claims Prince William is worried that private conversations with his brother will be “plastered over American TV.”

Meghan Markle’s broadcaster pal Gayle King told CBS breakfast show The Morning that the duke had unproductive phone calls with other royals since the bombshell Oprah Winfrey interview.

Vanity Fair quoted a ‘royal source’ as saying: “There’s a lack of trust on both sides which makes moving forward very hard.

“William is now worried that anything he says to his brother will be plastered over American TV.”

Buckingham Palace has said little in the wake of the sensational interview, which aired on March 8 in the UK, other than the Queen’s statement that issues would be dealt with privately.
