Glamtush reports that the Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, on Tuesday, said the opposition political parties can only unseat President Bola Tinubu in 2027 if they form a coalition.
Ayodele made it known that if the major opposition parties, including the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Labour Party (LP), and New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), don’t unite, efforts to win the election would be futile.
In a statement by his media aide, Oluwatosin Osho, the prophet noted that the opposition political parties need to come together and field a candidate that is rugged and has the capacity, or else it will be a smooth ride for Tinubu in 2027.
Ayodele said: “If PDP, Labour, and NNPP don’t unite to form a coalition and propose one rugged and solid candidate for the 2027 presidential election, they won’t be able to unseat President Tinubu.
“It will be a smooth ride for the president in 2027 except there is a strong coalition from the major political parties.”
In the PDP, especially, Ayodele noted that if the party considered standing alone and fielding Atiku Abubakar, there would be no victory for them. He also made it known that no sitting governor in the PDP can become president in 2027.
“If the PDP decides to field Atiku, it will be a disaster; they will lose the election. If the PDP wants to stand alone, they will run into debt, and as it stands, there is no sitting governor who has the capacity to become president in the PDP. They are not strong enough.”
