It was pomp and pageantry as Dana Air celebrated veteran pilot, Captain Shokunbi.
Glamtush reports that Dana Air rolled out the carpets in honour of one of their veteran Pilots, Captain Kola Shokunbi, who engaged the landing gears of a plane for the last time on January 7.
After an illustrious 44-year career as a Pilot, Captain Shokunbi retired amidst Pomp and pageantry in the presence of his family, in a ceremonial send forth put together by the airline.
The captain’s day started with him signing the dispatch register for the last time before take-off and a water cannon salute as he made his final land at the Murtala Mohammed Airport, Lagos.
His wife Morenike Shokunbi was present with their Children while his granddaughter Anjola Talabi presented the bouquet.
We wish Captain Shokunbi a happy retirement after 44 gallant years of flying across the world and many fruitful years ahead.
