Six Ladipo market traders have been arrested by the Lagos state police command over their alleged involvement in armed robbery and cultism in Lagos.
The suspects were identified as, Nwapa Chukwuebuka, 20, Oganna Effita, 22, Seth Frank,29, Obiora Nwagbaso, 20, Chibike Ozor, 25 and Moses Ikechukwu, 25.
All 6 were paraded at the Police Command, Ikeja, Lagos by the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Imohimi Edgal. They were all among other suspected criminals paraded by the police for various other criminal offenses.
According to Edgal, they were arrested by the operatives of Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad, FSARS, through intelligence gathering. Chukwuebuka during his confession also revealed where they kept their arms and took the police to the NNPC area at Ejigbo. The house according to reports belongs to one of their leaders identified as Uzor who is now on the run.
The suspects also confessed t belonging to various cults and mentioned their leaders who were now on the run. The police boss added that they will all be charged to court.
