According to reports, David got into an argument with one of the motorcyclists (a Hausa man), and in the course of the quarrel, they began to fight each other.

Other motorcyclists while defending their colleague pounced on David and burnt him to death. His friends identified as Frank and Philips respectively were also beaten mercilessly when they intervened. The duo were later rushed to an undisclosed hospital and are currently battling for their lives.

According to Sahara Reporters, a source disclosed that 10 people have been arrested in connection with the murder.
