Veteran actor and broadcaster, Sadiq Daba has been buried in Lagos less than 24 hours after his passing.

He died at the Lagos state university teaching hospital (LASUTH) where he was undergoing treatment on Wednesday.

He was subsequently laid to rest at the Hausa Community Cemetery situated within the Agege area of Lagos state amid tears.

Among those who were present at the burial were his children and relatives; well-wishers who joined in to pay their last respects.

Recall that his death comes after his long battle with leukemia and prostate cancer.

The 69-year-old has had an illustrious acting career while also doing well for himself in the broadcasting space with multiple awards and recognitions.

Daba became a household in the country for his role as Bitrus in the Nigerian Television Authority drama series ‘Cock Crow at Dawn’.

In 2015, Daba won the ‘Best Actor’ category at the Africa Movie Academy Award (AMAA) for his role as Inspector Waziri in the 2014 movie ‘October 1’.

The last major film role he featured was Professor Yahaya in Kunle Afolayan’s ‘Citation.’
