Glamtush reports that Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, on Tuesday visited Ile-Ife to celebrate the 50th birthday of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II.
In a statement on Tuesday via X, Obi said, “Today, I travelled by road from Lagos to the ancient city of Ile-Ife to honour the 50th birthday ceremony invitation of the Ooni of Ife.”
As part of the celebrations, Obi also had the honour of commissioning the newly built Oduduwa House, which was donated by Sir Dr. Kensington Adebukunola Adebutu, the Odole-Oodua of the Source.
Speaking on the significance of the new structure, Obi said, “May the Oduduwa House be a source of inspiration, Unity, and Progress for the Oodua family and Nigeria in general.”
He further extended his prayers to the Ooni and the people of Ile-Ife, saying, “May God Almighty continue to bless His Imperial Majesty and the good people of Ile-Ife.”
