Four injured, many trapped as another building collapses in Lagos.
Glamtush reports that five persons have been injured after a storey building under construction collapsed at Sunny Filled, Flour Mills Estate in Magbon, Badagry, Lagos today, November 17.
A statement released by the Director of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, Badagry Station, Margaret Adeseye, says concerted efforts are ongoing to rescue remaining trapped victims.
Adeseye said four persons have been rescued while an operation is underway to pull out those trapped.
She confirmed that the victims which are mainly construction workers were rescued with varying degrees of injury but are in stable condition after being taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.
“Four adults male have been recovered (unconscious) thus far.
“Nigeria Police, Morogbo Division and community dwellers are complimenting rescue efforts,” the statement added.
