DIG Joseph Egbunike has been buried in Anambra.

Glamtush reports that DIG Joseph Egbunike, deputy inspector-general of police in charge of the force’s criminal investigations department, has been laid to rest.

This online platform recalls that Egbunike died in March at the National Hospital, Abuja, after a brief illness.

Prior to his death, Egbunike was the chairman of the panel instituted by the IGP to investigate the FBI allegations against Abba Kyari, suspended deputy commissioner of police (DCP).

In a tweet on Saturday, the force said the late officer was buried in Onitsha, Anambra State, his hometown.
