On Saturday, October 3, comedian Baba De Baba was among Nigerians who honoured The Kenny Oshadipe’ Walk against Lupus.
Kenny organized the walk to mark the one year memorial of her twin sister, Taiwo Oshadipe, who died of Lupus inflammatory.
To immortalize Taiwo, Kenny will be launching a non-profit making and non-governmental organization to educate and sensitize the public about the dreaded new discovery in town. Tagged, “The Oshadipe Twins Initiative”-TOTI, the NGO is formed to advocate, promote, educate, research and sensitize the public, mostly young women who are prone to the disease and with the ultimate aim of supporting those already living with and suffering from the disease.
Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease in which the immune system produces antibodies to cells within the body leading to widespread inflammation and tissue damage.
Actress Halima Abubakar was also present to give her support.
