Glamtush reports that Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has said that his nomination for the Ballon d’Or is a dream come true.
The Napoli hitman was among the 30 players nominated for the 2023 men’s Ballon d’Or by the organisers, France Football Magazine, on Wednesday.
Osimhen made history as the first Nigerian to be shortlisted for the prestigious award.
He expressed happiness with his nomination.
“I must say it is a dream come true for me. It is a big honour for me and my family,” Osimhen told reporters in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
“I have worked so hard for a moment like this, and I must say it is a reward for all the years of hard work and dedication. This can only spur me to do better and get more recognition.”
