Glamtush reports that Nigerian singer and songwriter, Tiwa Savage has made an interesting revelation about her collaboration with ace rapper, Olamide Adedeji.
In a post on her Instagram page on Wednesday, she explained that Olamide, the owner of the YBNL record label, rejected the money after his management billed her.
The ‘Somebody’s Son’ crooner said she offered Olamide N100 million for a verse in her newly released song “Commona”, but he rejected the money.
According to the songstress, Olamide didn’t charge when he learnt that it was her and it was because of his knowledge of the hardships that female artistes face in the music industry.
Speaking on their sibling-like bond, Tiwa appreciated the rapper for exhibiting his helpful and caring personality towards her.
She said; “I was talking to his management, I did not want to talk to him directly because he would want to do it for free. I was willing to pay and his team charged me N100m. When Olamide asked them who the artiste was, he just said NO. He won’t take it.
“He said I’m his sister and he knows how difficult it is for a woman to make it in the industry. And guess what? He gave the verse for free. Good people exist and Baddo is one.”
