Ogun State Government Reopens Schools
Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun has ordered the reopening of all schools in the state with effect from tomorrow, Monday, October 26.
This is coming barely five days after the governor closed all schools as a result of the crises that followed the End SARS protests.
In a statement signed by Kunle Somorin, the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, on Sunday, Abiodun said peace has returned to all parts of Ogun State.
The peace, he said, was as a result of the suspension of the protest.
The statement said, “This is to announce to the general public that all schools are to resume academic activities tomorrow, Monday, the 26th of October, 2020.
According to Somorin, “with peace returned to all parts of the State after organizers suspended protests,” Government said it has “no reservations, whatsoever in reopening schools tomorrow.”
