The tribute, which was signed by the Secretary of FCT Council of NUJ, Ochiaka Ugwu, and sent to Ukaegbu’s family, said, ”While the death “leaves pain and sorrow, we, however, urge you to take solace in the fact that Walter Ukaegbu lived well as a devoted husband, caring and loving father, doting comrade, inspiring professional, and a worthy example to his community.

“More than these, it is a thing of joy that he was a passionate Christian who held unto Jesus Christ, and as a community leader he demonstrated great commitment to the service of people and country.”
