Glamtush reports that the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has increased the salaries of match officials in the top-flight.
The referees’ salaries were increased by 50 percent.
NPFL chairman, Gbenga Elegbeleye announced the rise in the indemnities of match officials.
The move is to ensure fair and credible officiating in the NPFL.
Elegbeleye stated that negotiations were ongoing to secure air transportation for referees and players.
