Nollywood Actor Allegedly Stabs Neighbour To Death Over Electricity Bill

A Nollywood actor, identified as Temitayo Phillips Ogunbusola, has been arrested for allegedly stabbing his neighbor, Oladotun Johnson Opeyemi, an access bank staff, to death over electricity bill, in his quarters in Lagos state.

It was gathered that the incident happened on Saturday, May 17, at their home located at No. 4, Sebil Kazeem, Cele-Igbe, Ikotun, Lagos, Nigeria

Recounting how it all started, Banjo Lateef, a fellow neighbor, said:

“Temi was owing N21,500 and the neighbors suggested that his light be cut off, but I pleaded that they should allow me talk to him to see if he would deposit some money.

I went to his apartment with another tenant, Ola, and knocked twice on his door. Temi came out in anger and bashed us for knocking on his door. He said, ‘Are you mad? Are you crazy? Are you a police officer ?”

An argument ensued and we came to blows. (Read the rest of Banjo’s report below).

Lagos state police spokesman, Bala Elkana confirmed the incident, adding that the murder weapon was recovered by homicide detectives.

“I’m in charge of PHCN bill for the compound and I shared the bill for April to everyone in the house and we agreed that we were going to deposit some money to avoid being disconnected.

Below is the undertaking he was made to write at the police station before he committed the act.
