No Registration Extension For 2021 SSCE, Exams Begin July 5 – Says NECO

NECO has disclosed that the 2021 SSCE exams will begin on July 5 as registration will not be extended.

Glamtush reports that the National Examination Council (NECO) on Wednesday said that it would not extend the registration period for the 2021 Senior School Certificate Examination for school-based candidates.

This online platform understands that this was contained in a statement signed by the council’s Head of Information and Public Relations, Azeez Sani, titled ‘NECO will not extend registration period for 2021 SSCE internal.’

The statement read, “The registration exercise which started on March 31, will close on Friday, June 25, 2021, and will not be subjected to extension, while the examination will commence unfailingly on Monday, July 5, 2021.

“State Ministries of Education, Commandants, Principals, Proprietors and other relevant stakeholders are enjoined to take note of the closing date and ensure timely completion of their candidates’ registration.

“The council assures all stakeholders of its resolve to have a seamless conduct of the 2021 SSCE.”
