Nine persons have lost their lives, while three persons sustained injuries when three vehicles collided along Kano-Zaria Road on Tuesday. The incident reportedly occurred in Imawa village in the Kura Local Government Area of Kano State.

This is contained in a statement by the Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Zubairu Mato, on Tuesday.

Mato said, “We received a call around 9.12am on Tuesday, October 6, 2020.“On receiving the information, we dispatched our personnel and vehicle to the scene of the incident to rescue the victims.”

He said the accident involved three vehicles; a trailer with number plate KMC158XW, a Golf Sharon with number plate AE884GZW, and a tricycle without number plate.

“The victims, who lost their lives, included two male adults, six female adults, one male child, while three were injured. Two persons escaped without injury,” the sector commander said.

Mato attributed the accident to dangerous riding by the motorcycle rider.
