1. While the House of Assembly election will be holding today in the 36 states of the federation, the governorship poll is holding in only 28 states. Eight other states – Osun, Ekiti, Kogi, Bayelsa, Anambra, Edo, Ondo and Imo – have off-season elections.

2. The Lagos State Police Command has said a 53-year-old woman, who was found with laminated electoral materials, is in detention. The police spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed this on Friday.

Ubua – in which he sought to be admitted to bail. In a judgment on Friday, a three-member panel of the appellate court held that the appeal by Ubua was without merit.
