1. Traditional rulers and leaders of religious organizations in the South East zone have made a strong call for the release of separatist leader, Nnamdi Kanu. The call was made by prominent personalities in the zone under the aegis of the South East Council of Traditional Rulers and Representatives of Igbo Archbishops and Bishops.
2. Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party and former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar, has travelled to Europe. The former vice president left the country hours after he met Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.
3. Gunmen suspected to be bandits on Monday night attacked Nyalun community in the Wase Local Government Area of Plateau State and killed the village head, Salisu Idris. It was gathered that the suspected bandits also gunned down two other residents of the community.

The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Lucky Irabor has said the Boko Haram insurgency led to the death of 100,000 persons, over 2 million displaced and $9 billion (N3.24 trillion) worth of property damaged. He said this at the closing ceremony of the 2022 Ministerial Performance Review Retreat in Abuja, on Tuesday.

The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Mahmood Yakubu, has summoned a meeting with leaders of political parties over the reported clashes among their supporters in some States. Yakubu disclosed this in Abuja on Tuesday, during the training of master trainers on election technology for the 2023 general election.
6. The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Lagos State chapter, has condemned the endorsement of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu by his Rivers State counterpart, Nyesom Wike. The endorsement was issued at the 22nd conference Committee of Wives of Lagos State Officials, held in the State on Tuesday.
7. The West Africa Examination Council has announced plans to make its certificates available to candidates of the West African Senior School Certificate Examination once their results are released. The Head of National Office, Patrick Areghan, made this known on Tuesday at a luncheon organised by the exam body in Lagos.

A private company, Naebi Dynamic Services Limited, is to monitor the records of helicopter movements in and out of Nigeria and assist the country to boost Internally Generated Revenue from the sector. Speaking at a press briefing in Lagos, the Managing Director, Naebi Dynamic Services, Stanley Chike, said the firm was investing in equipment to monitor activities in the aviation and oil sectors across the country.
9. A 37-year-old security guard, Michael Pius, who allegedly hit a man’s chest with a stone, was on Tuesday, remanded by a Lagos State High Court at the Tafawa Balewa Square, over alleged murder. It was gathered that the defendant and the deceased, Paul Assigno, were arguing over an issue which degenerated into a scuffle, and Pius stoned the victim to death.
10. The Chinese government has opened police stations in Nigeria and in over 20 countries in Europe, America, Asia and Africa in its effort to tackle the increasing criminal activities of its citizens abroad. This was contained in an investigative statement titled, ‘110 Overseas Chinese Transnational Policing Gone Wild.’
