Access to the Internet is the biggest benefit brought about by mobile Internet service providers. At your convenience, you can go online with digital devices and enjoy various available services. As much as the benefits have been of immense help to all, it has also fuelled a surge in its abuse as a lot of people now use it for unholy activities.
As more people gain easy access to the Internet through mobile phones and other devices, there’s also a corresponding increase in online dating sites. Some business minded individuals have created such sites for people living in different parts of the world Nigeria inclusive, where they meet the opposite sex for dating and hookups.
A closer look at the Nigeria cyber space, it was discovered that there’s a continuous increase in online dating sites and they advertise their websites mostly through popular social media platforms frequently used by young Nigerians such as Snapchat, Badoo, Facebook and Instagram.
Some of these popular dating sites go by funny names, which announce their kind of business. A quick look at these websites, you will discover that quite a lot of them are into cyber chat, cybersex and even real sex through physical hookups.
On joining these dating sites, through the chat rooms, they engage in cybersex and virtual sex encounter in which two or more people are connected remotely via computer network. It sends sexually explicit messages describing a sexual experience. In one form, this fantasy sex is accomplished by the participants describing their actions and responding to their chat partners mostly in written form designed to stimulate sexual feelings and fantasies.
Sunday Telegraph investigations reveal that a number of young girls are now making money from these acts through various social media platforms. Some of them charge as much as N50,000 per session of virtual sex.
A user of one of the popular sites, who prefers to be anonymous, said, “These sites are quick to tell you that their services can be accessed for free. But once you start viewing the site or make contacts with any of the ladies that come online for a chat, you will be asked to pay a certain fee for services rendered.’’
When asked if he had ever paid for such services, he declined to give a straight answer. Sunday Telegraph also discovered that a number of young girls are now making huge money from these connections as they join these sites through various social media platforms especially, Snapchat, Badoo and Instagram.
In Lagos, one of such people claiming to make money through cybersex and also enrich the girls he uses for his business is a guy who goes by the name Kingtblakhoc or KingTBlak. His real name, Tobiloba Isaac Jolaoso, might mean nothing to you but his moniker, Kingtblakhoc is popular on social media. TBlak is a Nigerian pornstar with great number of followers on social media. He is known for his luxury lifestyle, and of course nudity, and he’s known for flaunting his flashy lifestyle on Instagram and Snapchat. Not minding what Snapchat rules says, TBlak has continued to show nudity on his social media account.
Apparently, he has been blocked from Snapchat more than four times now, but he kept opening new accounts. The latest was a Premium account, where he asked his followers of over 179, 000 to pay N20, 000 to be added to the account, and then they get a month access to his website where they’d get to watch his series of porn videos and have cybersex with his ladies.
Going through his Instagram page that practically looks like a porn site, he brazenly parades different ladies in compromising postures and invite people to hook up with these ladies for e-sex for a fee and you will be surprised the number of likes, comments and direct messages he gets from his followers asking how they could be part of it and how to make their payments.
One of his ladies, who goes by the name, Queen, via Snapchat site claims she charges N50, 000 for sex chats. The lady, who is well paid well alongside other Kingtblakhoc’s girls, also calls herself a ‘Porn Star’.
He also recruits girls through adverts on his website, inviting them to be part of his business instead of being jobless or just sleeping with men for free. Tobiloba Isaac Jolaoso is Nigeria’s star in a business that is scorned in public but patronised in private by thousands of people and his girls are proud to say that they are making millions from this business.
Sunday Telegraph correspondent went to town and discovered that indeed Internet prostitution is going on and the era of walking the streets or hanging in brothels for sex in exchange for money is no longer in vogue as these ladies can easily make more money through cybersex. Bayo, a business man living in Lekki, explained how he was added to an exclusive dating site for rich guys living in that area by a close friend, only to discover that almost all the ladies on that site are willing to engage in cybersex if you are ready to part with some cash.
“A friend added me to this site and I was happy to see beautiful ladies but I was so disappointed when one of them came up to chat with me, telling me she can have sex with me online or physically for a fee. I was so disappointed because I thought she was a decent girl. The asking price is as much of N20,000 per session which I feel is ridiculous. Of course, I can’t pay money for cybersex but a lot of my friends on that site are paying these ladies huge amount of money for sex in whatever form and so many other are becoming addicted to having sex online with these girls,” he told Sunday Telegraph.
Another man, simply identified as Abiodun, Oluseye popularly called Don, narrated his escapades with a lady he met online and engaged in a lot of cybersex sessions with her before they finally hooked up in a hotel in Festac. He paid her for services rendered.
“It all started from my meeting her online on Snapchat. We got talking and soon migrated to having cybersex by exchanging sexy written chats and video chats. We did that a lot for a while before I invited her over to a hotel in Festac. She stays around Ikorodu. She insisted that I must pay some money into her account before she would come and I did that. We simply had fun and she went back to her place,” he said.
These unholy activities have become rampart since the emergence of the Internet and social media. The Internet, which is indeed a blessing to the world, has now become a medium through which ladies go into prostitution, making huge sums of money.
