Nigerian Brands – House Of Ekii, Pillz & Poizn, Yeside Laguda, Dzyn & Others Raise The Stakes At Glitz Africa Fashion Week Ghana 2021

The Glitz Africa Fashion Week, Accra, Ghana is back in full swing after a year of restrictions by the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Ghana’s biggest fashion event in its ninth edition will be a week of all things fashion – seminars, presentations, exhibitions, photoshoots and runway shows.

The event which is holding between October 21 – 24 has the theme Creativity and Sustainability.

As always, Glitz Africa has an exciting lineup of activities for fashion industry players – designers, creatives, entrepreneurs, influencers and enthusiasts alike for GAFW21.

Ghana which will play host to the rest of Africa Glitz Africa Fashion Week will present a fresh lineup of 29 designers from the African continent and beyond. Some of which will be House of Ekii by Abasiekeme Ukanireh, Dzyn by Ogwa Iweze, Yeide Laguda by Yeside Laguda, Pillz & Poizn and a host of others.

The Grand Arena – is the new venue of choice and this year’s theme is Creativity & Sustainability. Drawing from this year’s theme, Glitz Africa Fashion Week is aimed at painting a picture of what the core of the fashion industry should be – inspired by art, architecture, and our everyday cultures.

Other Nigerian designers showcasing this year will include Ejiro Amos Tafiri, Telvin Nwafor, Kamsit Charles, Ugo Monye, Sisiano and Tubo.

 

House of Ekii

Lagos-based fashion label House of Ekii Designs, run by Abasiekeme Ukanireh- is a fashion enthusiast who delights fashion buffs and enthusiasts alike. Ekii is a sustainable fashion brand that is aware of the negative impact that the fashion industry has on the environment. The Ekii brand takes a reverse approach to environmental sustainability.

Yeside Laguda

Eponymous clothing and lifestyle company that believes the continent as a whole has so much to offer. They are dedicated to providing distinctive clothing pieces with a focus on timeless style, authenticity, and value.

As a brand with African heritage, Yeside Laguda’s pride lies in its versatility and range. Believing style shouldn’t be boxed or dictated.

Dzyn

Dzyn is a well-established women’s fashion retailer that specializes in pret-a-porter (ready to wear) garments; with a focus on style, drawing on creativity and inspiration from Nigerian, African, and International styles. Dzyn believes in infusing classic garmenting with current trends, always considering affordability and paying attention to quality.

Pillz & Poizn

Is an avant-garde /contemporary luxury that caters to the bold and confident woman exuding sexy femininity with class and pizzazz.
