Nigeria Records 749 New COVID-19 Cases As Infections Hits 85,560
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has reported 749 new cases of the novel coronavirus disease in the country.
The health agency, in its daily update on Tuesday, disclosed that 580 recoveries were recorded.
According to NCDC, the recoveries include 279 community recoveries in Lagos State and 106 community recoveries in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) managed in line with guidelines.
However, three new deaths were recorded across the country.
Also, 17 states and the FCT reported new cases on Tuesday.
Lagos reported 299 new infections while Plateau State reported 131.
Also, Kaduna State and the FCT recorded 83 and 74 new cases respectively.
Others are Kwara-35, Sokoto-26, Edo-18, Kano-17, Katsina-16, Delta-11, Nasarawa-10, Ondo-9, Bauchi-9, Rivers-5, Akwa Ibom-3, Jigawa-1, Osun-1, and Ekiti-1.
As of Tuesday night, Nigeria’s total number of confirmed cases stood at 85,560.
While 71,937 patients have recovered, 1,267 deaths have been recorded.
