Nigeria ranks 30th in the latest FIFA Men’s World ranking.

Glamtush reports that the Super Eagles of Nigeria ranked 30th in the 2024 FIFA Men’s World ranking, dropping two places from the previous 28th position.

The ranking, as released by the Federation of International Football Association on Thursday, revealed that the Eagles topped the 2023 CAF African Cup of Nations winner, Cote d’Ivoire, and seven-time AFCON winner, Egypt.

Having participated in two friendly matches after the AFCON tourney, the Eagles earned a 2-1 win against neighbouring rivals, Ghana, and fell to a 2-0 defeat against Mali.

The Eagles rank third in African football, falling only behind the Atlas Lions of Morocco and the Teranga Lions of Senegal.

Ranking first in the 2024 FIFA Men’s World Ranking is 2022 World Cup winner Argentina, followed by the tourney’s first runner-up, France.

In the third position is Belgium while the Three Lions of England hold the fourth place.
