Glamtush reports that Nigeria’s U-23 football team, the Olympic Eagles, on Saturday, defeated the Young Taifa Stars of Tanzania 2-0 in the second leg of the 2023 U-23 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan.
The first half of the game was keenly contested as it ended goalless.
But the Nigerian side took over the game from the start of the second half, as Oguniyi Omojesu put Nigeria in front with a free-kick while the second goal came from Success Makanjuola who scored from a penalty kick awarded.
