Niger Govt Announces Reopening Of Schools October 4
The Niger State government has announced that all schools in the state will reopen on October 4, for the 2019/2020 third term.
The decision by the state government was reached on Monday after meeting with stakeholders at the State Ministry of Education.
The reopening of schools is coming six months after schools in the state were closed down due to the outbreak of COVID-19.
Based on the directive, all teachers are to return to their respective schools from Tuesday 29th September to commence preparations for the reopening.
The state Commissioner for Education, Hannatu Salihu said various consultations were made based on the report of the committee on school reopening set up by the state government.
