New Telenovela ‘The Chosen Granddaughter’ Premieres On Telemundo Dec 19

A new telenovela ‘The Chosen Granddaughter’ will be premiering on Telemundo on December 19.

Glamtush reports that The Chosen Granddaughter (La Nieta Elegida) is a Colombian telenovela created by Julio Jiménez and Iván Martínez for RCN Televisión.

The new series will be replacing Hidden Passion 2 once it ends, from Monday, December 19.

The telenovela has only one season which comprises 72 episodes.

Plot

Luisa is a young woman who, by order of her father, will be in an unknown world in order to take revenge on the Roldán family, but soon the affection that Sara, her supposed grandmother, will give her and meeting Juan Esteban Osorno, the boyfriend of another of Sara’s granddaughters, will cause Luisa to enter into a dilemma.

Synopsis

The prestigious Roldán family is surprised by the arrival of a stranger (Luisa Mayorga), introduced by Sara, the family’s grandmother, as the granddaughter they have rescued from a marginal neighborhood.

Luisa is the supposed daughter of Sergio, her youngest son, murdered 10 years ago in strange circumstances that remain unsolved. She is a beautiful young woman who will become part of this greedy family, which for the most part is opposed to accepting her, causing the imbalance and confrontation of all its members.

As the days go by, the supposed granddaughter is not as harmless or weak as she seems, because behind her movements there is a dangerous group led by a sinister character who seeks destruction and revenge against the Roldán family. For all who know her, Luisa Mayorga will not go unnoticed, and in the end, they will understand why she has been the chosen granddaughter.

The production for the telenovela began in 2021 and ended earlier in the year with an ensemble cast including Francisca Estévez, Carlos Torres, Juliette Pardau, Consuelo Luzardo and others.
