New Series ‘Life Of Ami’ Debuts On Zee World

A new series, “Life of Ami” will be premiering today, Thursday, July 6 on Zee World.

The show opens up with Ami sleeping. She imagines her father, Harsh, coming to wake her up and telling her not to be afraid of any exams and that she will have to face tougher exams in the future. Ami tells him, “you will be with me right?” Harsh says, “always”. Ami says, “then I will never be afraid of any exam.”

Life of Ami tells the story of 14-year-old girl Ami whose father has died. Her mother Shruti was forced to take up the dual responsibility of both mother and father especially at this susceptible age.

Ami fakes running away from home after getting her exam results back and Shruti blames herself for Ami’s behaviour and lack of concentration. Ami overhears her Granny asking Shruti to consider marrying again.

Shruti asks Sanjay, a family friend if she can work at his company and Nisha begins to question the relationship between Shruti and Sanjay. Shruti sacrifices the expensive sari’s her husband gave her to make her daughters new outfits just to make her happy.

With time, it becomes clearer that Sanjay has fallen in love with Shruti. Sanjay tries so hard to tell Shruti about his feelings for her. Shruti hears the other girls gossiping about her and Sanjay and as a result it sparks an argument between her and Sanjay.

Ami returns and she tries to play match maker for Sanjay, little did she know about what went on while she was away. Ami gets introduced to a new teacher and immediately she tries to be a match maker for her mother.

Sanjay expresses his wish to marry her, however, Shruti first refuses but due to family pressure gets married to him after passing through many difficulties.

The series which revolves round a journey of lies, tears and courage has a total number of 83 episodes.

The series replaces the just concluded ‘Reach For The Stars.’ It will air Monday to Friday at 18h00.
