To celebrate the Christmas season, one of Nigeria’s best gospel saxophonist, Segun Oluwayomi popularly known as Omo Arugbo Ojo has dropped a new Christmas single titled, Bethlehem.
The Christmas single features one of Nigeria’s finest and gifted gospel artiste, Mike Abdul.
According to award winning Oluwayomi, the track is to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ as explained in Isa 9:6 “For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”
The single which celebrates our Lord Jesus Christ, who is the reason for the Christmas season is produced by Bode Afolabi.
The Arugbo Ojo cronner has three outstanding albums to his credit, they are; Arugbo Ojo (series I) which he released in the year 2000, Aseda Oga Ogo (Arugbo Ojo series II) which was released in 2005 and New Glory (Arugbo Ojo series III) which was released in 2012.
Segun Oluwayomi is a music minister in Christ Livingspring Apostolic Ministry (CLAM) under the leadership of Pastor Wole Oladiyun.
He stands out of the crowd through his unique way of worshipping God with the instrument God has placed in his hands, the saxophone. Segun worships God in the traditional way which he also blends with contemporary. He believes the best way to connect to your God is by speaking your own dialect.
