Special prayers for peace, unity, and stability were offered for Borno, Lagos Arewa Communities at the Palace of Mai Kanuribe of Lagos Ijora Badia, on Sunday.

Over 200 ulamas Quranic scholars offered special prayers for Borno State Governor, His Excellency Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, mni FNSE, Shehu of Borno Alhaji (Dr) Abubakar Umar Garbai El-Kanemi, CFR, Borno state Emirate Council, and the good people of Borno State including those in the diaspora.

Special prayers were also offered to Lagos State Governor, Baba Jide Sanwo-Olu, Oba of Lagos Oba Rilwan Akiolu, Oba of Ijora (Dr) OBA. F. O. Aremu Aromire Ayegdami and the entire South West leaders, Arewa community, and all the northerners at large.

The Kanuri Council of Chiefs and Chieftaincy Affairs Lagos State, South-Western Nigeria, under the leadership of Alhaji Mai Mele Abatcha prays for all Nigerian leaders for God’s guidance, peace, stability, protection, prosperity and blessings in their respective leadership drives.

Alhaji Mai Mele Abatcha, speaking at his Ijora Palace, the Mai Kanuribe of Lagos State, Sereki Hausawa of Ijora land, and overall Sereki of Iganmu Kingdom expressed appreciation to the Kanuri Council including all the Ajjas (district heads) Zannas and all other traditional titled holders for their commitment and support in completing the one day special prayers.

Ambassador Mai Mele Abatcha equally extended profound thanks and appreciation to the Iru/Victoria Island local council boss, Honourable Princess Rasheedaat Abiodun for personally attending the special prayers and the support.

What makes today’s prayer unique and special, are the two bulls slaughtered for the first time in the history of the prayers in about 12 years.

And at the moment slaughtering ended, rains of blessings immediately followed, which was a clear sign of prayers answered.

Ikorodu people for the first time in decades declared allegiance and attended the prayers in their hundreds, including people from Ogun State, Shuwa Arabs, Fulanis, Yorubas, Igbos among others.

And finally, other high points of the day were the presentation of certificates to the newly appointed other council members, Chiroma, Barma, two Ajas(District Heads) and Zanna.
