New Entertainment Channel Star Life Premiering On DStv, GOtv

A brand new High Definition (HD) lifestyle and entertainment channel, Star Life, will be launching on DStv and GOtv today, Monday, August 27, exclusively for its African audience.

With the tagline; Star Life “It’s a beautiful world”, the channel will be a 24/7 English language channel showcasing a fusion of the very best family dramas, celebrity dance shows and blockbuster movies from Star’s famed library of A-List Bollywood movies, adapted in English for local audiences, Multichoice has announced.

Star Life is appealing to a broader audience and brings to Africa extraordinary journeys of ordinary people, progressive storylines, inspirational characters and compelling dramas produced to the highest international production standards.

A fully owned subsidiary of 21st Century Fox, Star Network is the undisputed global powerhouse in Indian programming and a market leader in most of the 100+ countries it operates in worldwide, with over two decades of award-winning and #1 rated shows in its repertoire.

South African audiences will have the channel available in High Definition but DStv viewers outside of South Africa will only receive the channel in standard definition. Star Life will be available on DStv Channel 167 and GOtv Channel 23.

DStv customers on Premium, Compact Plus, Compact, Family as well as GOtv Max customers will have access to this new offering.
