We feel that the original storyline has run its course and there is a need to introduce a new story. Keeping that in mind, we are planning to introduce a time leap. We are looking at revamping the cast, including the lead couple. Only Virat (Neil Bhatt)’s family will be retained, which includes Kishori Shahane, Shailesh Datar, Bharati Patil, Sheetal Maulik, Tanvi Thakkar, and Vihaan Verma.”
Earlier this month, Aishwarya Sharma who played the role of Pakhi quit the show after being a part of it for two-and-a-half years.
The actress disclosed that, “Just like all good things, even my association with the show has come to an end. While Pakhi’s journey has ended, Aishwarya is taking a bag full of memories with her because this show has given me almost everything. I feel indebted to Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, as it has given me more than I had expected. However, I feel it’s time to explore new opportunities.”
